Sweet Treats
Flapjacks
Flapjacks are one of my favourite treats. This recipe uses honey, sunflower seeds hazelnuts, and dried cranberries to create a flapjack that is nutritious as well as full of energy. The recipe also includes flour to prevent the flapjacks being too crumbly.

These hazelnut and chocolate chip cookies are very good indeed. The chocolate chips are soft and contrast with the crunchiness of the hazelnut, whilst the cookie dough is not too sweet, but sweet enough!

Chocolate brownies are an indulgent, rich, moist, chocolatey treat that are straightforward to make and store well. A high energy snack for hard working people!

Fridge cake is a comforting rich chocolatey treat that requires no baking. This recipe includes dried cranberries and hazelnuts, contributing flavour and some vitamins, to an indulgent treat.

Chocolate and bananas seem made for each other. Heating a banana in an oven, or the barbecue, turns the flesh soft and sweet. Adding chocolate to the heart of the banana doubles the sweetness. A perfect partnership!

This recipe for chocolate truffles is easy to make, involving little more than melting chocolate and rolling it into balls. However, you will need to work quickly as the chocolate soon hardens!

Making gingerbread figures is a great way of starting the holidays or preparing for a party. This recipe creates a sweet mildly spiced gingerbread decorated with white chocolate and smarties.
